Reload character
During the process of editing a font in the TrueType Editor there exist 3 versions of the same font in different steps of processing.
First it is the original TrueType Font which consists only of the contour information. If you don’t like the cutsJUFQ.Z and stitch directions3W_ESN of the current letter, you can reload the plain contour from the original font. This could be done with the button reload from TrueType font
.
The second version is the transformed TrueType Font. It consists of contour information, cuts and stitch directions and also characters you still reworked. So if you change something at the contour, cuts or stitch directions of the current letter, and you don’t like the modifications, you have the chance to reload the transformed letter. Please use the button reload from original file
.
The third version is the local TT-font. Directly after the start of the Editor its equal to the transformed font. While editing the characters you can store the modified letters to that local font using the button save letter in font
. It is also possible to reload characters from that font, this could be done with the button reload letter
. So mistakes you made in the current edition of the letter can be cancelled, for example it you distorted the contour by mistake.
If you quit the Editor, the local font will be copied to the transformed one, so the transformed TrueType Font you can use in the monogramming is always the latest version.
