By means of these buttons automatics created with a certain input mode can be transformed in another input mode. The buttons without a +-sign replace the current automatic by the new one. The buttons with the red +-sign add a new automatic in the new input mode in front of the old one, and those with the green +-sign behind the old one.

These features are considerably practical, for example satin stitches of even width can be punched quickly with center line input. When they are transformed to segmented input, you can change stitch directions and end directions and you can realize overlapping regions.

If you punched an outer contour area with stepstich fill, you can add a satin or step stitch line contour with one single mouse-click.
