This function opens the dialog box allowing the a picture to be loaded into the background of the work surface.

This background picture (*.bmp, *.dib, *.pcx, *.gif, *.tif, *.jpg) can either be filled with stitches in the ACEK9YNR3 (Automatic Computed Embroidery) or it can be used as a design for punching on faded in the screens background.

It is possible to load more than one pictures into the background, but underlying pictures will be covered and hidden by the later ones.

The size of the picture must be specified, this should always be the actual required size. A higher degree of accuracy in digitizing (mapping stitch positions onto the background picture) can be achieved by using a high zoom121272O-factor.

If just parts of the background picture are interesting, their size can be defined with the function scaling1Y_WZL6 in the Picture menu If the background has too many colours and details, all unimportant colours can be faded out with the function Fade out coloursJ_RTQ0

To make the background as clear as necessary and as unobtrusive as possible, you can lighten the background with the function background contrast1N2QWCR
