This mode contains functions for creation and modification of drawing  lines. The drawing lines can be created either manually or by vectorizing a background picture. Drawing data in the formats .wmf, .emf and .dxf can be imported directly. It is also possible to stop the ACE-processHIDD_ACE_STEP2 after the vectorization and use the calculated vectors as drawing lines.

The drawing lines are to be used for the positioning of texts on curves or as a optical aid for punching. In all other modes (stitch-mode, coordinate mode) these drawing lines cannot be altered. Designs drawn in the Drawing mode can be filled with stitches directly using Line-ACE1P6LERD.
