The orientation of the text can be turned by using the orientation button

Using the text orientation button you can set the letters vertically related to the page on the curve. Generally the letters are positioned vertically on the curve. So you will get a kind of stairs function, if the curve is a straight line.

The button vertical position can have three states. The text can be positioned on, under or in the middle of the curve.

In the dialogue field line spacing you can input the desired distance of the text from the curve. Negative values move the text down.

This feature is very useful, if a existing punch contour shall be used as a curve for placing the text. This can be done with the function copy line to drawingDLD2OO in the drawing menu. Then the text should have a certain diatnce from the curve.

It is also possible to move the curve itself in the drawing mode. The text is fixed to the curve an will move with the curve and vice versa.
