If the outer edge of a punched segment is relatively long compare to the inside edge, then the stitches will be shortened.

The regularity in which the stitches and the relating line of stitches are shortened, is adjusted using this parameter. The normal value is 100, a smaller value reduces the frequency, with a value of 0 no stitches will be shortened. A value larger than 100 increases the frequency of shortened stitches.

The length is the stitch length of the shortened stitches compared with the length of the covering stitches. If 2 stitches are shortened after another the second is shortened in proportion to the first.

If the moving parameter is set to „0“ it means that the shortened stitches will have their original position which is right in the middle between the long stitches. A moving of 100% moves the shortened stitches under the stitch line of the next, longer stitch.

In picture 1 you see a length of 80% and a moving of 100%.

In picture 2 you see a length of 50% and a moving of 0%.
