Covering stitches
The parameters displayed here are used during the complex filling of a area.
The Overlap value serves to compensate for the material stretching where several large running areas are combined and whose stitches run in different directions.
The relative value specified here, defines the number of overlapping lines per 1000 running lines. If the value is set to 5, for example, an area containing 1000 running lines will be extended by the width of 5 lines (for 200 lines 1 line width is added). If this value is set to 0 then no overlap takes place. This value is only available in outer contour areas with classic Complex fill calculation.
If you have a structured outer contour area with cuts and stitch directions you can use the absolute value. The number you input is the number of added stitch lines.
The setting is dependent upon the material as well as the thread and machine used.
The pull compensation value causes that the stitch lines are lengthened by the defined percentage value, but not more than the defined number of increments ( in mm). A stitch line with a length of , for example 100 increments, is lengthened by 15 increments if you have input 15 %, But if you have limited the value to 10, it is just lengthened by 10 increments. This function levels out the pulling of the cloth, which has the more effect the longer the stitch line is.
