A „normal“ cut, displayed in blue in the illustration above, does not divide the contour finally in main and additional contour. It is only a dividing line which belongs to both parts. These both areas meet at this line, but never overlap. 


A final division is possible by selecting the cut and clicking the button make cut ultimate .


The cut is not visible any more but the two curves have got an outline at this position. You can move them of course, so that you can create overlappings or gaps.



But please take into consideration that the system itself calculates the sequence of stitch fill while finding the optimal path. So you cannot know which area is filled first and lays under the second one
