The switch do not use areas with background color cause that areas 

inside the design’s contour, which have the same color as the 

background, are not filled with stitches.

In our example the sheep would remain unfilled. This feature is useful if 

there are true “holes” in the design where the background shines through


If the switch detect background color automatically is activated, the 

system takes the first color seen from the outside as the background 

color. But sometimes this might be the wrong color, for example if the 

background is filled with one color half. If you deactivate the switch , the 

recognized background color is displayed in the field left of the switch. 

After a click on this field you can define the desired background color.
